PARALLEL CIRCUIT: two or more components connected in parallel having the same difference of potential across their ends.    SERIES CIRCUIT: when the current goes trught every component in the ciruit. ALTERN CURRENT: DIRECT CURRENT: when the electrons always go straight line.
